Whether you're a matriculating student or not, one of the best offerings in the iTunes store right now is iTunes U. If you haven't noticed it in the top left nav bar, it's worth checking out: With the participation of national and international universities and colleges (UCLA, Duke, MIT, etc) plus all the institutions and museums involved in Beyond Campus (MoMA, New York Historical Society, ideastream), iTunes U is packed with audio and video lectures for pretty much any topic. Oh, and did we mention that it's all free?

There was a time, many eons ago, when Front Row was first unleashed to the world and touted as the ultimate in home entertainment solutions. So when Front Row 2.0 (and even the latest update, 2.1.3) was introduced with Leopard, there was a flurry of angry, angry Mac users who cried foul: Front Row's ability to stream audio was taken away completely.
