A few things you'll need: knowledge on how to read a schematic, soldering iron, and use a hand drill.

Of course, that's just the easy part. The hard part will be ordering all of the parts such as the enclosure, transformers, tubes, and resistors. Sounds like alot of things, but they're all basic components in a circuit and it's an intriguing adventure - just look at the awesome amplifiers Peter has been cranking out for us. Surely, the end result doesn't look nearly as impressive as Peter's, but you'll notice some of the parts used are a little on the cheaper end and will fit those on a tighter budget than most.
