NuForce Icon: Making Your Computer Hi-Fi

nuforce_icon.jpgWhile many people are alright with their standard laptop speakers or built-in monitor sound emitters, audiophiles will go a long way to try and convince you how much blaring distortion is present from those sources. Take our word for it, if you want to hear music's crisp details, you'll probably need an amplifier - especially if it's coming from a computer-as-source.

Fortunately, NuForce has simplified this process by including an all-in-one PC USB digital-to-analog converter (DAC), 12W x 2 digital amplifier, 3.5mm headphone amp and stereo preamplifier - all packed into a pretty metallic miniature package.

nuforce_icon2.jpgConnection to the boom boxes is handled via a 1m Ethernet-to-banana plugs speaker cable (refer to the above image), while onboard controls are simplified to two circular knobs: One for tri-input selection and another for power/volume adjustment.nuforce_icon3.jpgThe NuForce integrated desktop audio amp will run you about $242.76. Of course those speakers pictured above and extra banana plugs will run you a few dollars more (a few thousand more for the speakers), but if you have studio monitor recommendations, we'd love to hear from you!
