Closeup: Two People...Two TV Screens?

marlonjacehouse-tour03_540.jpgThey say sharing is caring. We guess Marlon and Jace aren't subscribers to that idea, and thus have two side-by-side flat screens so they can enjoy whatever they want separately. The couple likes to watch multiple shows at once, including supplementing their Wimbledon viewing with some adjoining Wii Tennis action. Check out the rest of their house tour here.

Disgusting? I think that's too strong of a judgment. It seems to work for them, n'est-ce pas? Lots of people have TWO TVs at home. What I don't like logistically about sets side by side is that (1) one person ends up wearing headphones otherwise it's a cacophony of audio (2) the different scenes switching all the time on one TV would wreck, let's say, a darkly lit thriller or suspense movie being viewed on the other (3) another set in view is also distracting for me. Nah, this setup could not work for me logistically, and we have only one TV.

However, if this works for their relationship, whatever, I don't judge, and is it excess when many others have 2 television sets at home? I know some people who have 4 TVs at home.

i don't think it's disgusting - that's a word i save for bugs and surgery on television and people like GW.

i think it's excessive, but what if it's saving their marriage...then not so disgusting, eh?

i wouldn't be able to handle the two tv thing because of what stickyrice said, and i agree very much with the final statement - almost everyone i know (except me) has more than one television, so what of it if they put them side by side??

and are the two monitors next to each other disgusting as well?? no, THAT'S DROOL WORTHY. ;)

It looks like all that room is missing is a nice divider so they don't have to see each other during commercial break.

My grandparents had this set up. He would usually watch basketball while she watched some sort of drama.
