Look!: Flame Lamps

These lamps made us do a double take. That is why we like them. Meant more as a commentary on the beauty of compact fluorescent bulbs, the flame lamps are placed in various bases composed of materials typically burned to produce heat and light.

We see the beauty of using these lamps in our space both to mimic real flame or to generate interest through unorthodox placement. Presented at 100% Design London, there is currently no news on availability but you can contact the designer here.

Nice idea but I'd prefer it in a warmer coloured glass. I think it looks a bit cold.
